Sabre Integrated Keeping Private Schools Safe

At one of the most prestigious private independent schools in New York City, with a strong reputation and a long list of successful and notable alumni, the security of Students, Staff and Campus are top priorities.With approximately 1700 K-12 students and 325 faculty and staff spread across two campuses, the goal was to keep everyone safe and secure. Today this means monitoring access at all entrances and exits, controlling access as needed, and video surveillance.

Parents and boards of trustees have high standards today when it comes to safeguarding students and teachers. The school board realized security was behind other independent private schools across New York. The school had an antiquated video surveillance system which was no longer fit-for-purpose. In private and public schools with urban or suburban campuses, risk factors today are higher than ever. The challenge was to control access 24/7 and develop a secure video surveillance system to keep students, office staff and teachers safe and secure.

Sabre designed an integrated system with an element of traditional on-site as well as cloud-based security system, keeping students and staff safe across the Manhattan and Bronx campuses. Solutions installed across the facilities included IndigoVision video security, high-definition cameras and video management control center, and SabreVault® powered by Brivo, for cloud-based access control. Changes in ongoing monitoring, maintenance, training and support were made. Sabre is now an integral part of the security apparatus across its campuses.
